Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice - Hertfordshire

A rapidly expanding and extremely ambitious boutique firm of accountants and business advisers based in Hertfordshire are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a friendly team providing a full range of bookkeeping services to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Sales, purchase and general ledgers
- Post and review month end journals
- Adhere to proper accounting standards
- Maintain deadlines
- Advise managers of any outstanding issues
- Complete and review VAT returns
- Maintain a full and accurate audit trail
- Prepare and review management accounts
- Visiting clients premises
- Develop and maintain good client relations
- Liaise with clients directly
- Training and supporting more junior members of staff and clients

Person Specification:

- Previous proven bookkeeping experience within a Practice environment
- Analytical thinker with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Self-starter who can manage changing priorities in a demanding environment
