Financial Accountant Based in Preston Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits As one of the UKs leading independent professional services companies we are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on an 18 month fixed term contract at our Preston office. This is a key role as part of our National Finance team; if you are currently studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or have recently finished, this could be an ideal opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a varied and interesting position. You will be tasked with managing the balance sheet, calculating accruals and completing reconciliations, preparing overhead packs to include review and commentary, as well as providing support across all other areas of financial accounting. You will be expected to provide an enthusiastic, effective and efficient service at all times, building relationships with national departments and playing an active part in the smooth running of the National Finance team. The ideal candidate will come from a solid accountancy / finance background. Full ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is preferred, although consideration will be given to individuals qualified by experience. The role will suit an organised, thorough and methodical individual, with the ability to multitask, prioritise and delegate workloads to ensure deadlines are met, plus excellent communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels. Strong IT skills will also be required, with a particularly strong working knowledge of Excel, able to use pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif etc. With almost 3500 partners and staff across 35 offices generating a fee income of over GBP300 million, you would be joining one of the 3 principal midmarket accountancy firms at a particularly exciting time.
