A world leading third party logistics business is recruiting a planner on one of their massively expanding contracts in the Bristol area. It offers a competitive salary and great career progression prospects.
Responsibilities for the planner will include:
- To manage the day to day running of the Systems & Planning team
- Ensuring all orders are processed in a consistent manner throughout the warehouse and across all department - falling in line with customer requirements.
- To manage a team of clerks, provide guidance and ensure accuracy in all aspects of work completed.
- Complete and provide detailed handovers to oncoming shift
- Ensure accurate control of inventory and adhere to department targets
- Review weekly performance of the team and report activity to the senior management team
- Prepare KPI reports, ensuring accurate reporting to the senior management team
- Manage the daily count schedule and plan MHE as required
- Assist with the flow of data from Goods inwards through to point of dispatch.
The ideal planner will have the following experience/attributes:
- Red Prairie knowledge with excellent understanding of this WMS (ESSENTIAL)
- Excellent database & spreadsheet working knowledge
- Previous planning experience
- Sound knowledge and use of the Mercatus host system
- Team morale and influencing skills
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent audit results combined with first class PC skills and analytical knowledge to produce accurate data
- Minimum of 3 years clerical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
