Costume/ Uniform Assistant - Stoke-on-Trent
The Alton Towers Resort is the UK's only attraction that specialises in making Britain happy! Our employees are the driving force in ensuring we provide excellent guest service, making sure we exceed our guests' expectations.
About the role
The Costume/Uniform department is responsible for making sure the Alton Towers Resort teams present a clean, tidy and easily recognisable image to our guests. As part of the role you will be issuing and maintaining uniforms, and dealing with new and existing employees on a daily basis. You will be helping to maintain costumes in our Costume department and also spend time in CBeebies Land dealing with washing and maintenance of Hosts' and Performers' costumes and characters. Uniform sees a lot of customers every day, so keeping the department clean and presentable is also part of the team's responsibility.
About you
You need to be willing to learn the uniform stock control computer system, be customer orientated and have a good sense of fun. Experience of stock control, and good sewing skills are required. The working week is five days out of seven, including some weekends on a rota basis.

About us
The Alton Towers Resort is the UK's only attraction that specialises in making Britain happy! We are the UK's Number 1 Short Break Destination - not only having the UK's leading theme park (best UK theme park at the British Tourist Awards in 2012 and Tripadvisor's travellers' choice in 2013 ), but also two incredible themed hotels, a splashtastic waterpark, a luxurious spa, an eighteen-hole extraordinary golf course and the UK's most unusual conference venue. To top all of that, in 2014 we launched the world's first ever CBeebies Land and in 2015 we have even more new news with the launch of the Enchanted Village - Luxury Tree houses and Woodland Lodges. Plus our rollercoasters including Nemesis and Air mean we have thrills for all! Our accommodation is open all year round, catering for both leisure and corporate guests. Working for us is a busy, yet friendly and enjoyable experience. The Alton Towers Resort really is Britain's greatest escape!
