This medical equipment and supplies company is on the look-out for an experienced stock controller, preferably with experience working in a fast paced, warehouse environment. The ability to be able to multi-task, whilst still having excellent attention to detail, is essential. Key responsibilities:
- Make sure the correct level of stock is maintained and act as key contact for all suppliers.
- Conduct perpetual inventory counts and stock takes.
- Input and process purchase orders using the in-house system.
- Coordinate stock purchases via existing contacts - eventually to include imports from overseas.
- Actively pursue additional purchasing and procurement opportunities.
- Utilise system reports to ensure stock is received on time and in full.
- Ensure stock issues/discrepancies are fully investigated, understood and reported.
- Ensure strict adherence to processes with any instances of process non-conformance reported and acted upon immediately.
- Complete management reports to effectively communicate to all levels of the business the site stock status.
- Control inbound and outbound logistics; couriers, third party carriers.
- Support the customer service function as and when required.
- Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line manager from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability.

Qualifications:
- A Levels/HND/NVQ equivalent (Desirable)
- Qualified or interested in working towards a funded Purchasing Qualification

Essential requirements:
- Previous experience of stock control and working with internal/external suppliers
- Proven track record in system control and management
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident in IT applications including ERP Systems/MS Office
- Customer centric
- Good negotiation skills
- Good organisational skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- High level of accuracy and numeracy

- Ability to use own initiative
