An exciting opportunity for a SOx specialist has arisen at a Global Risk Management and Insurance firm within half hour commute of London. The role is a Fixed Term contract for 18 months.
The candidate will be required to:
Work closely with RQM team and SOx Manager on Contract Remediation
To provide compliance advice, direction and practical assistance to the Business on compliance issues and to implement systems and controls where necessary to ensure all compliance requirements are met.
- Review and approve client and project setup requests
- Source appropriate evidence to support project setup processes
- Ensure client information in accounting and legal systems is correct
- Provide staff training in relation to contract compliance and revenue recognition
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Support RQM team with Implementation and deferred revenue calculations
- Undertake detailed internal control Sarbanes Oxley (s404) testing where requested and assist with annual external statutory audit
- Ad hoc revenue compliance tasks
Qualifications
Essential
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Good understanding of internal control systems
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified
Preferred
- Good understanding of People Soft
- Good understanding of Elite billing system
Experience

- Thorough understanding of financial reporting and Revenue Recognition
- Experience of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Experience of working within a strict control environment
- Good understanding of Company & FCA policies and procedures as instructed

- Experience in Project Accounting

- Experience of working in a US listed company
