Domestic Assistant
CAS Behavioural Health provides high quality specialist healthcare to adults with a variety of diagnosis including; Mental Health, Learning Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, Autism and Personality Disorder.
Brunel House in Henbury, Bristol will be a purpose-built 32-bedded unit providing a service through 22 rehabilitation beds and 10 neuro degenerative beds to individuals who require specialist therapy-led rehabilitation and support.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Involvement in creating and maintaining cleaning regimes - daily, weekly, periodically etc. for the Hospital (excluding the Kitchen for which the Chef has responsibility)
- Liaise with the Hospital Manager/supplier when ordering cleaning products, report on their effectiveness as well as undertaking monthly stock checks and ensuring safe storage
- Ensure that thorough cleaning of all areas of the Hospital is carried out, excluding those maintained by the Kitchen Staff
- Safeguarding risk assessment / safety of workplace
- Ensure cleaning schedule is maintained and documented evidence is completed
- Undertake any necessary training including COSHH/Mandatory training etc.
- Ensure that equipment is clean and well maintained
Key Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of COSHH and Electrical Cleaning Equipment
- Understanding and demonstration of personal hygiene
- Comfortable with patient contact
- Ability to assist patients with daily living skills
- Experience of working in a care environment or a cleaning
