Leading financial services organisation seeks Senior Internal Communications Manager for 12 month fixed term contract.
Client Details
Our client is a leading provider of financial services across the United Kingdom, operating with a network of more than 600 locations. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to join a high performing team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Description
The Senior Internal Communications Manager will have a proven background in digital collaboration, strategic events, communications strategy and planning.
Key responsibilities:
- Define the strategic internal communications and leading a team of four specialists to build a centre of excellence for planning, strategy and production of digital, face to face and editorial content
- Develop and implement a new channel strategy that serves the diverse requirements of the audience and uses the new digital platform to put collaboration at the heart of communications and the way people work
- Deliver of a number of company-wide and targeted strategic events including a large conference for up to 1500 employees
- Lead the editorial team and help them work with the wider communications team to deliver a lively, well balanced and engaging daily stream of editorial content on the digital platform
- Continue to develop and implement the company's tone of voice
- Evaluate the internal channel performance using Office 365 metrics, surveys, and anecdotal feedback
- Manage the relationship with third party suppliers including developing and maintaining an approved supplier list, working with procurement and other stakeholders to make sure to follow appropriate governance
- Manage the overall internal communications budget - including forecasting, monitoring and managing both individual project budgets and the overall spend against plan within governance
Profile
The successful candidate must be able to commit to a 12 month fixed term contract and will have:
- An understanding of how to make collaboration technology work for specific audiences, having helped a complex business adopt Office 365 or similar technology. Ideally this will have been delivered using Agile methodology
- Strategic plan building experience with the ability to present in a compelling way to gain support from senior stakeholders
- A proven track record in managing events that hit business objectives and delight delegates
- Excellent relationship building skills at all levels including exec and senior managers, customer facing partners and third party suppliers
- The ability to write and develop complex content
- Strong organisational skills
- A commercial mind-set and strategic understanding
- A proven track record managing teams both in the office and remotely
- Willingness to travel frequently
