Service Centre Manager - Avonmouth GBP50,000 - GBP55,000 Basic + Car + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare

We are delighted to be partnering with what can be described as a true, global market leader in the field of engineering service and maintenance, for all electrical rotating equipment, from inspection, manufacture as well as re manufacturing. With their rapid response and prompt turnarounds they are able to offer all customers best in class customer service, throughout the UK. Due to a strategic change in direction they are now looking to appoint a commercial and operations focused Service Centre Manager for a major service centre in the South East.
The Role As a Service Centre Manager you will manage all activities, with a particular focus on the power, water CPI, HPI and general industrial sectors. This will involve close communication with all key customers and the coordinate of the team to exceed annual business objectives. The role will also hold full responsibility for all health, safety, environmental, quality assurance and LEAN initiatives.
Other key responsibilities and tasks include:
- Responsibility for the Service Centre profit and loss account
- Coordination of all operation of all activities
- To assess current business practises and processes, aimed at improving all service levels for al jobs
- To communicate with all customers to improve company perception at all times
- Develop the service centre team for equipment installations, pre commissioning checks and fault finding
- To support the sales development of service opportunities within new and or existing customers
The Candidate Ideally you will be apprentice trained in either mechanical and/or electrical engineering, having been in a previous role involving customer interface, whilst managing a team of individuals. Strong man management capability is a must, with an ability to be motivational and inspirational. This is a high performing service centre which requires a successful individual with a strong electro mechanical background to apply.
