Electronics Design Engineer required by world leading manufacturer of specialist high-tech low-volume electronic and electromechanical systems, whose products incorporate state of the art electronic designs incorporating microcontrollers. The applications are varied and include actuator control electronics and Fieldbus network communication.

The Electronics Design Engineer will be involved in the hardware and software design of electronics modules as a member of the electronics team and alongside other discipline design teams.

- Design and implementation of electronics designs.
- Design and test of electronics designs to ensure product requirements are met.
- Detailed Hardware and software design.
- Design for embedded microcontroller applications
- Some overseas travel may be required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Hons Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 4 years' experience in industry as an Electronics Design engineer the following fields:

- Software design using high-level languages i.e. C, C++ for embedded microcontrollers.
- Digital electronics design including microcontroller applications.
- Analogue electronics design.
- Design experience in embedded wireless applications
- Designing to internationally recognised approvals standards.
- Design for manufacture.
- CAD systems in particular DXDesigner/Pads.

PERSON

- The desire to learn and develop in a well-motivated team.
- Ability to work to tight time and cost targets is essential.
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated with good practical skills and a thorough approach.
- The successful candidate will be required to liaise with suppliers, customers, and the offshore design team in India, which may in turn necessitate occasional overseas travel.
