This key business partnering role influences and supports the Agency Commercial Organisation providing an essential business partnering relationship between commercial (Agency), and Finance. This role manages the SMO performance reporting generating $120m of EBITDA.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Directo, this role provides essential Finance support for all subscriber commercial deals covering a number of highly complex SMO markets, leading the subscriber investment appraisal analysis process.

The Finance Manager influences strategies and commercial decisions with regional managers to drive incremental revenues and profits, and provides detailed variance analysis, highlighting opportunities to grow and formulating plans to mitigate risks.

  • Main Accountabilities:

  • Complete commercial analysis on all deals and gain appropriate approvals

  • Responsible for SMO Budget process covering Volume, MIDT Market, MIDT%, Revenues, CoR and OPEX.

  • Liaise with regional management to understand key issues in region.

  • Key Finance support for regional and sales managers, providing high quality financial support.

  • Track functional performance for SMOs against targets. Identify and understand drivers of under / over performance, highlighting key variances and recommend actions / strategies to improve performance of countries profitability

  • Ensuring country managers are fully informed / updated on all financial matters affecting their region

  • Provide accurate forecasts to corporate according to corporate timetable

  • Ensure financial models and deals represent accurate information and reflect impact to the financial position

  • Work with country managers to grow / improve profitability of region, by driving revenue opportunities and cost of revenue reductions schemes. Involvement to impact of pricing decisions on products and providing feedback on corporate initiatives

  • Work with corporate and Financial Operations functions on ensuring accounting policies are understood by the region and adhered to, working with the SMO teams on any issues that may arise and highlight possible alternatives.

  • Supporting implementation and rollout of new deal processes and commercial pricing.

  • Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Strong business acumen, able to make decisions that affect the the business, and be prepared to be challenged on these decisions.

  • Able to demonstrate working in a business partnering type role

  • Proven track record in support role with the ability to "think outside the box"

  • Analytical Self starter with initiative and the ability to communicate ideas effectively

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified

  • Practical and proven experiences in an accounting environment

  • Good interpersonal skills, and an ability to tailor their approach to deal with different levels of management

  • PC literacy requiring strong experience in Powerpoint & Excel. Cognos & Oracle - benefit

  • The position requires a team player demonstrating maximum flexibility

  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment

  • Must be consistent with a good standard of work, disciplined and deadline conscious

  • A good working knowledge of the communications and IT industry would be beneficial

  • Context/Environment:

  • Role covers working with regional mangers based in European cities while managing a centralized finance system.

  • Role will also involve extensive interaction with corporate finance
