Salary: GBP24,271- GBP30,715 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful and expanding Sixth Form at Wakefield College.
Wakefield Sixth Form has a strong academic ethos; working towards excellence for our students and helping each individual to achieve their full potential. The overall A level pass rate is consistently high, at 97% and above.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Lecturer with a track record of success in teaching A level History. History is a popular subject in Wakefield Sixth Form.
We currently teach the AQA specification but the post holder would be at liberty to make a change for year 12 if another exam board is preferred. The successful candidate will also act as Personal Tutor to a group of A level students.
As a Lecturer in A Level History, you should:
- Hold a degree in History (or other related discipline)
- Have GCSE A* - C in Maths and English qualifications or equivalent
- Have experience of teaching A level History
You should also be able to demonstrate:
- A track record of good success rates in teaching and learning
- An up-to-date knowledge of the relevant curriculum
- Experience of adopting a range of teaching and learning strategies
