Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience + benefits (including company pension)

They are now looking for an Operations Manager to be a key member and contributor to the EMEA leadership team, helping to coach and mentor existing and new members and staff as required and leadership to achieve world class delivery performance.
Operations Manager - Duties & Responsibilities
- You will develop systems to optimize inventory and working capital performance to support the business plans for the region ensuring highest delivery in full on time to promise scores in our chosen markets.
- Develop and provide strong linkage between core US Operational function and EMEA, ensuring that operational and logistical strategies are aligned, working relationships are strong.
- Development and establishment of adequate facilities to support the current and future needs of the business including future facilities in new markets.
- Establishment and maintenance of clear measurement, forecasting and reporting systems/processes to communicate functional performance and progress.
- Responsible for all manufacturing, technical and logistical performance ex UK facility. Dotted line responsibility for German operations. Dotted line responsibility to Vice President Operations as part of global functional strategy.
- Lead implementation of the EMEA operations strategy creating a regional function capable of supporting growth plans
- Work with EMEA leadership team and operations leadership ensuring EMEA is aligned to manufacturing, technical and logistics strategies.
- Responsible for Health and Safety in EMEA, continuing ISO certification and development of other certifications
- Develop organization structure and succession planning to deliver above in the short, medium and long term
Operations Manager – Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience of running, developing and growing operations functions within Logistics or Manufacturing.
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a technical, engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Production, Electronic)
- Experience of Health and Safety management, People management and financial management (including forecasting of management accounts)
- Ability to focus, prioritise and multitask across subject areas
- Displays strong planning and operational leadership, breaking down complex activities and interrelated issues into logical and understandable units for communication to staff and management.
- Able to communicate and develop strong working relationships with leaders and staff from across OE group cultures and with external suppliers.
- Understand, analyse, interpret and manage costs and provisioning associated with operations
- Strong leadership skills across culture and levels of the organization
- Highly developed oral, written and presentational communication
- Time management and prioritization
- Commercial reasoning and negotiation skills (suppliers)
- Ability to multitask in a time pressured environment
