Quality Engineer (12 months FTC) - ISO 9001, LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma
An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing plant in Leeds on a 12 months Fixed Term Contract. Scientific Games International Ltd is a subsidiary of the $1Billion pa turnover, globally renowned Scientific Games Corporation. Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art printing facility in Leeds supplies lottery scratch cards to clients in Europe.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of ISO 9001 and practical experience of LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Problem Solving tools.
The role will involve:
* Investigate and analysing customer complaints, recommending & initiating preventative actions.
* Analysing internal process performance data and initiating improvements.
* Analysing supplier and sub-contractor performance, identifying corrective and preventive actions.
* Responsibility for the day to day control of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including reviewing practices and processes across the site, carrying out internal audits and implementing improvement plans.
* Working closely with all the office and manufacturing personnel to initiate and implement process and quality improvements.
* Carrying out awareness / training sessions with employees.
In order to be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
* Highly motivated with the ability to manage own workload and deadlines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good investigative and problem solving skills.
* Experience and working knowledge of ISO 9001.
* Practical experience of LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Problem Solving tools.
