An established Electronics Development Company seeks a competent Buyer with proven experience in Purchasing or Production Planning within an electronics manufacturing facility.
Ideally qualified to Degree standard or equivalent, the successful Buyer will have a background in purchasing assemblies from overseas suppliers ( Far East ideally) as well as being familiar with forecasting and logistics and having good MRP skills.
In this role you will report to the assistant Materials Manager, being responsible for optimising component inventory levels, actioning the MRP report by placing Purchase Orders on designated suppliers, expediting material from suppliers to support the production plan as well as assisting in the introduction of new parts through Engineering Change.
You will be IT literate, have good communication skills and will have strong attention to detail.
This Buyer position is not suitable for those seeking a Managerial position.
Salary to GBP32K dependent upon experience
