We fund the training. You don’t pay!

Salary: Once you start working earn £330 per week including tips

We are looking for young people over the age of 18 to join us in full time employment as Trainee Croupiers at Wales’ premier and busiest casino.

The Casino floor dealers’ pay structure is 4-tier:

• Starting          -           £8.60 per hour          )
• 6 months       -           £9.20 per hour          )           all plus tips
• 12 months     -           £9.45 per hour          )
• 18 months     -           £9.72 per hour          )

Educational qualifications not essential. We are looking for people who are numerate, personable and have good people skills. You must have an ability to communicate and are good with other people – our customers.

Day and night work is involved during the 36 hour week. You will be trained to deal games including Roulette, Blackjack, 3 Card Casino Brag, Las Vegas Dice and Punto Banco.

Salary increments will be given on merit not time-served. A full explanation will be given at the interview.

A Dealer is the person who operates the gaming table. He or she may deal with up to eight people at a time on the table and is responsible for the smooth running of the game. That means ensuring that customers’ bets are placed correctly, pay-outs are accurate and goodwill is maintained. An Inspector will monitor the game at the same time that the dealer is operating.

Les Croupiers Casino is the longest established casino in Cardiff. It was established in 1968 and is still independently owned. It employs over 100 staff. The casino is open 7 days a week from 2pm until 7am Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and from 2pm until 6am Wednesday to Saturday.

Les Croupiers’ staff are highly respected within the industry and many have pursued careers all over the world – London, the Bahamas, Australia, USA and the South of France.
