Joining them as an EHCP Academic Advisory Tutor, you will share best practice in supporting learners with EHCPs to ensure each individual learner has a good college experience and achieves their potential.  This is a fixed term role until August 2018.

Supporting the ALS/Course teams in identifying and employing effective support strategies for students with an EHCP, you must liaise with course teams regarding in-coming or continuing learners with an EHCP (or equivalent) to provide support for teachers and assist with activities that promote integration of ALS into curriculum.   Effectively planning, preparing, teaching and supporting students with an EHCP from a range of courses across college, you will assess student development and evaluate the student journey; making recommendations for improvements.

You must also maintain accurate records on relevant college systems, support course teams and students to complete challenging ILP’s with an emphasis on outcomes and aspirations and offer timely CPD to course teams in relation to ALS needs presented by their students with EHCPs.
