Do you want to help us look after some of the brightest and exciting leaders of the future in a beautiful and historical environment? Are you cheerful and enjoy dealing with people from all sorts of backgrounds? Are you hard working and thorough enough to make sure the job is done properly?

At St John's College we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the college and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that the attitude you bring to work and the way you choose to behave is as important as your skills or experience.

Applications are invited for the post of Properties Administrator - Hostels to manage the 48 College-owned hostels, comprising some 308 rooms.  The postholder is responsible for ensuring that these rooms, which are used to accommodate undergraduate and graduate students and as study rooms for members of the academic staff, are maintained and furnished to the required standards. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working in a similar role, although training will be given.

The role is full-time to be worked Monday to Friday.  In addition there may be a requirement to work on occasion at weekends and bank holidays, particularly at the end/beginning of the academic year.

The College offers a competitive benefits package including membership of a contributory defined benefit pension scheme, 36 days' annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays), access to a ‘cash plan' healthcare scheme currently provided by Simplyhealth, free life cover, free lunch (up to a specified monetary limit), free use of an on-site Gym and free parking close to the College site (if available).
