U4BW (Agresso) Consultant job, can work from home but regular travel to Newcastle site req. GBP625 day rate.

You will be responsible for delivering best practice innovative solutions for the client's strategic ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform (currently Unit 4 Business World - UBW) and for all current and future contracts. This is a senior consultancy role for the current Agresso contracts and you will be the escalation point for all other consultants.

The primary function of the role will be to provide senior consultancy and development capability for existing ERP solutions and consultancy for pre-sales and sales activities and to enhance and develop the in-house Agresso support by providing leadership and technical expertise to junior consultants and the application support team; to ensure that knowledge transfer is an Embedded process and to understand, develop and share best practice.


Working with customers, suppliers and internal teams, you will participate in and take ownership of the design, configuration and support of the ABW system, ensuring that all configuration is managed in accordance with the published control procedures and remains compliant with legislative requirements and customer expectation.
This will involve (but is not restricted to), support for ABW, alongside the need to provide workable business solutions for one or more of the core Business Process Service areas (ie HR, Payroll, Finance and Schools) in order to meet Client and Business Requirements.

You are also expected to liaise with the vendor (Unit 4), the ABW business development team and the Customer, to ensure that all business changes are implemented in line with expectation and do not cause disruption to business users.
A high degree of articulation and excellent communication skills are essential for this role, alongside an in depth understanding of the core aspects of business process services as it relates to BPS outsourcing for local government.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential:
Successful completion and certification of all modules of UNIT 4 ABW Training (as indicated in the contractual addendum).
Considerable level of experience working in a senior consultant roles across multiple Agresso disciplines specifically Payroll and Pensions.

In line with the agreed certification Pathway and in line with agreed competence levels, you will then:

Advise and guide Business Payroll Services (BPS) consultants in the optimisation of ABW.
Perform build activities (in respect of page maintenance and internal business configuration changes, ensuring that best practice and standard delivery mechanisms and methodologies are used) - ie Change and Release Management.
Mentoring and support to Agresso consultants in operational delivery to up-skill knowledge of the technical solution.
Mentoring and support to the BT ABW support teams to up-skill and upstream business process knowledge.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
In-depth software knowledge of Agresso UBW with specific experience in HR & Payroll/Pensions modules.
Experience working in a project environment to deliver within specified time frames and budget constraints.
High level consulting skills and demonstrable experience in building highly effective customer relationships.
