Advantage Resourcing have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Application Performance Monitoring Engineer to work with our client's Estate Management Tooling team. This is a fantastic permanent position to work for a prestigious banking client in Cheshire.

Overall purpose of role:

*Build out the capability of the team to deliver the tooling to the application teams, drive adoption and maturity to embed these within the day to day lives of the community
*Act as subject matter expert (SME) for the tools which the team provides to our customers
*Proactively look for areas for improvement and deliver these through agreed roadmaps to drive more value from the tooling
*Develop patterns and knowledge to enable teams to maximise usage of these tools with minimal upfront training
*Work with customers to exploit the tooling to facilitate improvements in the applications through reduction of incidents, quicker diagnosis and better end to end visualisation of services from user experience to Back End performance
*Provide SME knowledge on all monitoring tools within the team You will be a Technical expert on Aternity/AppDynamics/IPsoft/Splunk

Key skills and experience:

*Experience and knowledge of monitoring products on a large scale, covering both system and application platforms: Aternity/AppDynamics
*Skills in ELK, Splunk, Wily
*Hosting approaches (Physical, virtual, cloud, AWW)
*Infrastructure components/architecture (Servers - AIX, Linux and Windows)
*Middleware technologies (WAS, JBOSS, Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, IIS)
*Automated deployment and releases technologies (BladeLogic, Nolio, Jenkins)
*Databases (Oracle, SQL server, MongoDB, MySQL)
*Scripting skills (Perl)
*Excellent communication skills
*Must be able to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
*Must be comfortable presenting product overviews, brown bags and technical workshops to customers both face to face and over WebEx.
*Strong documentation focusing on end users and support teams
