Anderselite have pleasure in working with an award winning multi-disciplinary architectural practice. They are on the lookout for a talented Senior Technician / Technologist to join their head office in Bristol.
This company are a practice leading the market in its use of BIM technology and processes. They are committed, experienced and expert BIM users and their BIM approach is one of teamwork and cooperation with their design team partners.
The current requirement is for a 5 year post qualified experienced team member. The candidate must be capable of running several on site projects at the same time, clearly delegating to less experienced team members. They are essentially after someone with lateral thinking, clear communication and collaborative spirit.
Advanced use of Revit is ideal but not vital.
The role involves leading project teams, writing full specifications, regularly leading or managing small teams internally. An individual who manages their own workload and supervises others internally, although does not have a dedicated team on a permanent basis. Answering complex queries from a range of internal and external clients, co-ordinating other consultants and will have client contact.
You must be ideally qualified to HNC or degree qualified or qualified through experience. Could also be working through or have completed the POP record to become TCIAT or MCIAT.
Essential Skills
- Take a brief and develop initial proposals
- Managing and co-ordinating the design team and associated professional consultants
- Producing, analysing and advising upon specification, materials selection and detailed design solutions in relation to performance and production criteria
- Producing, managing, controlling and integrating design and production information
- Ensuring compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements for large and complex projects, possibly multiple projects
- Manage the design process or development of construction project
- Monitoring the financial performance of his/her projects
- Producing, managing, controlling and integrating design and production information
- Evaluating and advising upon refurbishment, repair, reuse, recycling and deconstruction of buildings
Desirable Skills
- Assessing and prioritising the needs of clients and users and agreeing the project brief
- Advising clients on methods of project procurement and forms of contract
- Demonstrating control of the financial performance of his/her projects
- Developing the project design, researching problems and producing, developing and advising upon innovative solutions
- Appraisal of building performance in use and producing, developing and maintaining maintenance management information systems
