Experienced in the use of co-ordinate measurement machines, ideally Mitutoyo CMM, Software MCOSMOS V3
Experience in non-contact measurement techniques including shadow graphs
Experienced in first principle measurement techniques including the use of micrometers, Vernier calipers, DTIs, height gauges, surface plates, comparator stands & slip gauges
Able to read engineering drawings and understand geometric tolerancing
Ability to perform First Article inspection and generate detailed Inspection Reports
Able to investigate quality problems through the systematic inspection of mating parts of an assembly in order to identify and report the cause
Experience in the calibration of measurement equipment
Experience of working to ISO 9001 standards desirable
Minimum five years relevant experience required
Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering desirable
Good communications skills required and an ability to work with personnel from other departments
