IT Support Technician

West Yorkshire based Motor Dealer, Cars 2 Limited are looking to appoint an IT Support Technician, who will predominantly be based at their Wakefield Hyundai/Seat site, with occasional travel to Bradford and Barnsley sites (travel arrangements provided where necessary).

The Role:
The IT Support Technician will primarily provide IT support in a helpdesk context, working as assistant to the IT Manager. Specific tasks include:

•    Resolving staff issues with software or hardware, often working in co-operation with external technology suppliers (EG: ADP, Reef, VHC – no specific experience required) to fix issues as they arise
•    Access control – create new user accounts, add email addresses, provide HR software accounts and ensure all PC users have correct software and permissions.
•    Help co-ordinate the “Cars 2 Service Desk”
•    Maintain/replace IT equipment; including printers, fax machines, PCs, laptops, tablets, phones, telecoms and network equipment
•    Work with our telephone line provider, Telesis, to keep the phone system up to date with the correct call groups and extensions
•    Troubleshoot network errors to make sure routers, switches and Wi-Fi extenders all work
•    Lay network cables and patch them into the comms cabinet, keeping cabling tidy and accessible
•    Assist with the improvement and upgrade of our IT/network infrastructure over time

Responsibilities
In the role of IT Support Technician you will have exposure to Online Marketing (with training and support from the Cars2 IT Manager and Digital Manager) and duties will include:
•    Email marketing (using Mailchimp)
•    Contribute to the design of mailers and marketing letters to go to print
•    Support large scale text campaigns using business SMS services
•    Website design/development (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery, PHP, Wordpress, GIT, MySQL, Foundation CSS framework, SASS)

The Person
The ideal candidate for the position of IT Support Technician with Cars2 will preferably have experience using:
•    Google Adwords
•    Google Analytics
•    Facebook Advertising (creating/adding post; monitoring/managing ad spend)

For the role of IT Support Technician there is a salary on offer of £16,000 per annum.
