Our work with national and local government involves us in the most important areas of public service.We're currently looking to recruit an Maintenance Manager to work at Yarlswod IRC.Yarlswood Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) is a fully contained residential centre, housing adult women and family groups awaiting immigration clearance. We focus on decency and respect in all aspects of care for our residents, and our aim is to create an environment which supports and values diversity, integrity, trust and openness. The centre provides a range of services for our residents including: welfare, healthcare, faith and cultural provision, educational and recreational activities.3Overview of the roleThe key purpose of the Maintenance Manager is to be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of work and the allocation of tasks, the tracking of work progress, stock management, and ensuring that planned and reactive maintenance plans meet the needs of both the operational demands of the establishment as well as the contractual requirements as set by the customer.This is a critical role in the delivery of hard and soft FM services whose focus should be on delivering against service levels managed by Key Performance Indicators and leading a culture of supporting the needs of the operational line in a challenging environmentYou must be extremely organised and proactive in reporting and diagnosing faults on systems, equipment, buildings and fittings and plant. You will also be accountable for the supervision of a team of skilled and semi-skilled trades support staff so you will be the natural first port of call for advice and support.About youAs the successful candidate, you must be able to evidence proven experience of working within a building services environment and proven ability to carry out either electrical or mechanical services. Also, you must have experience of managing workflow and supervising work to achieve desired outcomes in terms of quality and productivityIt would stand you in good stead if you were able to evidence experience of managing a diverse teams of qualified, skilled and semi-skilled staff.Due to the nature of this role, it is essential for you to hold a relevant mechanical or electrical (17th edition) , air conditioning (HVAC including COCN1, ICPN1 TCP1, CDGA1, CIGA1, BMP1) and HABC L3 award in the Control of Legionella qualifications.It would be advantageous, if you've had experience of using CAFM or a similar system (although training will be provided).Your naturally strong verbal communication skills will be fully utilised in this role, as you'll be required to deputise for the Facilities Manager so you'll need to be confident and be able to liaise with people at different levels.What's in it for you?You can expect a salary of GBP27.090 together with 25 days annual leave, free parking, company pension scheme and access to voluntary benefit options including; child care vouchers, share save scheme, life assurance, and many more designed to suit your own personal lifestyle.
