A multi billion pound turnover engineering business is looking for a number of an Electron Beam Melting Process Engineer to join their growing Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing business area based near Bristol.
The Role
As an Electron Beam Melting Process Engineer, you'll act as the expert source point for development of Additive Manufacturing Processes, by defining process technical specifications and routes to develop manufacturing further. This role is focused on the development of Electron Beam Melting based technology although knowledge and understanding of other additive manufacturing process such as Laser Powder Bed would be beneficial. You'll also support the design process and strategic development projects.
The Person
As an Electron Beam Melting Process Engineer you'll need to have strong problem solving skills and the aptitude to define, document and run a complex experiment in an industrial technology development centre. A background within materials and testing within additive manufacturing/3D printing experience is essential. Your background will also include a specialism working with one of the following:
-Nickel Based Alloy Materials
-Titanium Alloys
-Electron Beam Melting
-Laser Powder Bed
-Laser Welding or Cladding
-Laser Blown Powder
The Background
