This client is a local and highly reputable firm of independent chartered accountants based in Tonbridge. A highly successful team and a wide variety of work and clients.

The team is small (c 25 staff) but mighty, the directors are friendly, approachable, hands on, reasonable and flexible. The culture they promote is 'autonomy' for all colleagues to work as well have an open door policy should anyone need assistance.

This role is pivotal to their clients as well as to their own business and, for the right candidate, there is potential for career progression and potential partnership in the future.

Description

The responsibilities of the Client Manager will include the preparation of accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, charities, trusts and limited companies.

Due to the nature of their client base, the work is extremely varied and can be technically challenging.

The role will also require the candidate to give advice to clients where appropriate on both business and tax matters subject to director review.

Maintaining a productive relationship with clients in the portfolio, maintaining regular contact dealing with any specific queries or problems and assisting with/undertaking project work as required to meet agreed deadlines.

Acting as a point of contact for clients ensuring that matters are dealt with in a timely manner.

Completing more complex accounts work for clients.

Undertaking ad-hoc project work as required.

Identifying opportunities for obtaining new work with clients.

Profile

The candidate will be from an accountancy practice background and have significant experience in the areas mentioned above and have:

ACA/ACCA Qualified or qualified by experience.

Wide range of general practice experience for owner managed businesses, including personal tax.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholder throughout the business.

Adaptable and flexible to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.

Confident to work with clients and develop key relationships internally and externally.

Proactive and able to use initiative.

Salary - GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 (Experience Depending)
