Contract type: Open ended contract staff
Working pattern: Full time

The School of Education is seeking to appoint an outstanding Senior Lecturer/Reader to make an active contribution in both research and teaching to our lively, collegiate and academically excellent Department. Able to teach across the broad field of education and an experienced doctoral supervisor, you will have a strong track record of national and international publications in the area of Education Management and/or Policy, ideally with international experience.
You will play an active role in the School's research community, taking a lead in doctoral supervision, developing grants, producing high quality publications and developing the school's research culture through active participation in the work of one of the research centres. Teaching responsibilities for the role will be shaped according to best fit, but there are opportunities to teach across a wide range of Masters and Ed.D courses across our UK and Hong Kong programmes. Candidates who can clearly articulate how their research and teaching inter-relate and push forward our current offering in relation to your area, are of particular interest to us.
As part of our collegiate culture, you will be supported to take on academic leadership roles in either teaching or research as part of our principle of distributed leadership and active citizenship. Reciprocally, the School and the wider University offers a thriving intellectual culture in which both research and teaching are valued and in which colleagues are encouraged to develop high aspirations and supported to achieve them.
