We have an exciting opportunity! At Karcher UK we are currently looking for a Municipal Engineer to join our team based in Banbury. The successful candidate will join us on a full time permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.

As our Municipal Engineer your role will be to service and repair of Municipal sweeping and combustion engine powered equipment throughout the UK.

What you’ll be doing as our Municipal Engineer

- Service and repair of Municipal sweeping and combustion engine powered equipment.

- Record all work carried out, complete the relevant reports on site, liaise with the customer and schedulers.

- Promote & sell maintenance contracts and other accessories.

- Maintain tools and equipment in a satisfactory and safe condition.

- Control van stocks

- To uphold and promote the Kärcher brand.

- The accurate population and reporting of service reports via Karchers SMS

Key Skills & Experience required of our Municipal Engineer

- Previous knowledge and experience of the Service Industry. Experience of cleaning equipment, industrial sweepers.

- Competence required when working with Combustion engines, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Automotive electrics and electronics

- Be able to work on own initiative, unsupervised and also as a team member.

- Formal mechanical/electrical Engineering qualifications and experience preferable timeserved/indentured.

- Previous experience in a Field Service engineering role.

- To have the aptitude to fault find, diagnose and resolve technical problems.

- Ability to communicate with customers – both internal and external.

- PC/IT Literate.

- Full clean driving licence

Working hours of our Municipal Engineer

This is a full-time position working 37½ hrs per week. With the ability to work flexible hours between 6.30am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday. All engineers are asked to work occasional weekends & Bank Holidays as part of a weekend response team, this is determined by means of a rota system.
