Trials Manager - LCM, Integration and Qualification & Certification

A Trials Manager with LCM, Integration and Qualification & Certification experience is required to work on a seven month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston.

This is a 7-month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.

Overview of the Trials Manager contract role

A Vacancy exists within the Tornado Product Definition Qualification, Certification & Trails Management (QC&T) Team based at Warton. This team is part of the Tornado, Harrier & General Projects Engineering Team and dealing with all business streams & across all phases of the programme.

The role will involve Systems Integration, covering all aspects of the product life cycle from requirements capture, test definition, qualification and certification. The team is responsible for all Engineering governance & operational deliveries. Dependent upon the specific position, successful applicants may be involved operationally with solution developments, requirements management, baseline definition, control of change, task management, verification, Supplier management and qualification/certification at all levels, all underpinned by the mandated governance.

Key skills required for the Trials Manager

• Conduct, coordination of Design Reviews
• Lifecycle Management process
• Weapons Integration
• Qualification & Certification
• Knowledge of typical product design life cycle
• Knowledgeable with regard to LCM and its application
• Experienced in risk management, this will include hazard identification, analysis, risk assessment and risk mitigation

The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
