We have an opportunity for a Paralegal to join the Construction team in Manchester.

Key responsibilities:

The day-to day responsibilities will include:
• Taking responsibility for managing the administration of several large development portfolios, which includes, preparing and keeping on top of trackers, drafting collateral warranties, appointments and other ancillary documents (with supervision), preparing sign-off reports for the client, proactively arranging for the proper execution and completion of documents and dealing with completed documents in accordance with the relevant client's head of terms;
• Supporting fee-earners in carrying out due diligence on construction documents in relation to real estate and development finance deals, which involves reviewing and reporting on development documents, keeping track of documents provided and checking that these are in agreed form and correctly executed;
• Legal research for both contentious and non-contentious matters;
• Providing support to fee-earners acting on contentious matters including for example, preparation of bundles, attending meetings/court and taking detailed notes, assisting with document handling, managing and co-ordinating data-rooms and disclosure exercises.

Skills and experience:
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with an LPC, or ILEX with at least 1-2 years' work experience in a legal environment. Experience in both contentious and non-contentious experience would be an advantage, however, we are happy to hear from those who feel their skill-set meets our requirements and who show a real interest in gaining experience in both areas.

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, be confident and adaptable and be used to working as part of a team. They will require excellent IT, administration and organisational skills, together with excellent written communication skills.
