This is a superb opportunity in the North West for a dynamic ambitious Transport Manager who is on the way up! The Role:
- circa 110 vehicles to manage across the company who are dominant in the North West but have a presence in Manchester, Leeds and the North East
- Duties include:
? Managing the fleet and company drivers to ensure that all operational targets are achieve.
? Monitoring of the vehicle tracking system to ensure it is working correctly and drivers are driving safely and efficiently.
? Management of the servicing schedule so all company vehicles remain roadworthy.
? Management of road traffic accidents and break down procedures.
? Create an effective reporting process and regularly provide update reports to the Operations Manager so they are aware of any issues.
? Alongside HR, you will drive the disciplinary process where it is necessary.
? You will monitor fleet costs to ensure the annual budget is achieved.
? Ensure that we , as a business are operating our fleet in line with transport legislation.
? Organisation of hire vehicles where the needs of the business require it.
? Negotiation of cost effective fuel solutions.
Candidate Requirements:
? You must have your Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
? Attention to detail and cost control skills and experience are essential
? Being able to put your own system together and build relationships key internal and external people is essential
? 2 year experience in transport management.
? Geographical knowledge of North of England.
? Excellent organisation and I.T skills are essential.
