The Safeguard Team Officer role is based within the Safeguard Department in Edinburgh Contact Centre.

Working as Customer Service Representative within our Safe Guard team in our Edinburgh contact centre, you will be playing a key role in protecting our customer's money and savings from financial crime and fraud through written and verbal communication. Keeping the customer updated at all times is essential.

Our dedicated contact centre is open 7am-8pm (Mon-Fri) and 9am-4pm Saturday your working week will be 35 hours with shifts compressed into 4 days between Monday and Saturday

On a day to day basis you will:
Manage cases including completing KYC (Know Your Customer) checks and Identification and Address verification remediation- this will involve proactive out bound calling to clarify and obtain customer information and validation of supporting documentation. Deliver a superior customer service at all times by building relationships based on trust and integrity Own and resolve issues, through judgement and ownership, by case managing end to end and ensuring all cases are robustly assessed. Ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do. Use your judgement to consider complaints objectively on behalf of the bank and customer Listen to customers to understand their needs and working with them to address their concerns.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
Experience in a relevant environment, i.e. Customer Services, Financial Services, Contact centre or Complaints. A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service Strong professional communication skills, both oral and written, with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered. Experience of working with rules and regulations
