In your role as a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, it is expected that you will embrace the ethos of the school and support pupils both on a 1:1 basis and in groups, across Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 within Physics, Biology and Chemistry. You will be given support, guidance and direction from the Head of Science and the Senior Leadership Team.

As the Science Graduate Teaching Assistant's experience and confidence grows, there will be opportunities to extend the Teaching Assistant's responsibilities. This will involve being part of whole class teaching and a transition period before pursuing a salaried teacher training course. The teacher training course will allow the Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to become a fully qualified Science Teacher, whilst having hands on role within the school.
