Our Client based in Tyne and Wear, is a globally renowned manufacturer of specialist products used within a safety critical environments. The now seek to recruit an adept Electronics Design Engineer to contribute to their growth through new product development, specifically the design of electrical and electronic control systems for industrial applications.
You will be responsible for the development / interpretation of specifications and translate them into development work packages
You will be part of a team reporting to a project manager that have the take to deliver a new product development. You will be expected to work on their own initiative, make project decisions based on the information at hand and also to interact with their fellow engineers and the project manager.
You will also be expected to liaise with outside suppliers of components, sub-assemblies and PCBs to ensure development targets are met and to arrange and support testing according to industry standards
Educated to HNC / Degree level in an Electronics discipline you will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in schematic capture and PCB design ideally using Altium for control systems used within an industrial environment.
You must have proven skills to evaluate electronics circuit diagrams and recommending design modifications along with the experience of using electronics lab equipment, (meters, oscilloscope, soldering, prototyping)
You will be able to write specifications, technical reports and test procedures along with experience if achieving EMC compliance, EMC design & resolution and knowledge of communication interfaces
Advantageous is any experience in software design using C++, embedded C (microchip), Java, Andriod
