With a highly-respected reputation in the market, this specialist utilities contractor has won several packages of work from a variety of clients and has gone through a period of expansion and as a result they require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team.
The role will involve general Quantity Surveyor duties such as valuations, CVRs, etc. whilst working closely with the NEC form of contract. Within the team, you will be reporting to a motivated and friendly Commercial Director as well as mentoring a junior member of the team. Something that could be advantageous to you is the fact that this company allows you to act on your own initiative rather than follow several procedures, and thus gives you more freedom to "create your own destiny".
Given that you will be assigned your own client base, you will have the opportunity to build relationships and win further work from them, and therefore grow your side of the business. With successful performance and growth, you could have the opportunity to oversee your own team as a Commercial Manager within the next 18 months.
Required:
- Utilities construction experience
- Can oversee projects up to GBP10m
- Electrical knowledge
Desired:
- Degree qualified or equivalent
