GlobalGiving UK is looking for an energetic, dynamic Training & Engagement Coordinator to lead our outreach, training and support helping smaller, local nonprofit organisations in the UK and Europe to access digital fundraising tools and develop skills, and ultimately raise more funding for their important work.

Job Description

Training & Engagement Coordinator will lead the marketing, coordination and delivery of workshops, learning events and advice sessions for small nonprofits accessing digital fundraising and support services from GlobalGiving. You will form strong partnerships with charity networks and seek new opportunities to bring our services to nonprofits. You will work with a small team based in London and connect with global colleagues in the UK, US, India, China and South Africa to contribute to the wider strategy, planning and implementation of GlobalGiving's work supporting smaller nonprofits to thrive.

You will be responsible to:

Coordinate and promote an annual calendar of workshops and webinars across the UK targeting smaller nonprofits (both current GlobalGiving partner nonprofits and those new to GlobalGiving) including setting up training logistics, promoting training through networks and social channels, and coordinating training delivery and follow up
Deliver training workshops and webinars to develop the skills, knowledge, confidence and ability of nonprofits staff and volunteers to launch an online fundraising campaign and raise funds online
Develop good communication and confidently share our value proposition for smaller nonprofit in a variety of settings including written, presentation and networking
Create and maintain effective strategic partnerships in the UK (and Europe) which further grow GlobalGiving's network building awareness of GlobalGiving's brand, services and opportunities
Work with the global Program team to deliver training and campaigns for GlobalGiving's network of nonprofit partners based in 166 countries
Work with GlobalGiving colleagues to produce and update crowdfunding and digital fundraising resources, using evidence and data to optimise relevance and impact
Provide 1-2-1 advice and support for small nonprofit staff on how to raise funds online and access GlobalGiving services
Contribute to UK marketplace strategy and measurement and reporting of the key differences we are seeking to make
Provide excellent, quality customer service responses as required
Support the wider work of the GlobalGiving team

You will need to:

Fully participate as a member of the global Program team, collaborating with colleagues in the UK, US, India, China, and South Africa
Develop engaging communications and promotions using your effective communication and relationship building skills
Think strategically and use your problem solving skills to continually innovate the way people engage with GlobalGiving to raise funds for their important work
Inspire people to learn about new ways of raising funds and communicating online
Balance strategic thinking with using your skills to drive operational improvements and proactively grow GlobalGiving's nonprofit network

Personal Specification

2 years+ experience in programme coordination and/or training
Strong skills in logistics, organisational skills and meeting tight deadlines
Extensive networker and relationship builder; you enjoy speaking to people regularly in person, by email or on the phone
Formidable written and spoken communications skills; experience in marketing opportunities is a plus
Experience of, and a passion for, digital (systems, social media, comms and mind-set) with excellent digital literacy and comfort working in multiple online applications (e.g. CRM)
Drive, creativity and innovative mind-set and a positive, can-do attitude
Able to critically reflect on your work and strive for continuous improvement
Commitment to GlobalGiving values: an open, never settle, learning approach to work with a willingness to learn from failure
Flexible, adaptable and nimble - you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, able to make quick decisions and juggle a varied workload independently whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail
Willingness to get stuck into whatever the day brings whether it is booking venues, preparing for a workshop, writing a best practice blog or giving some advice to a small nonprofits partner
Some experience working with volunteers would be an advantage

Role: Full time 37.5 hours per week preferred (we would consider applications from someone who wanted to do 30 hours per week over four days)

Gross Salary: GBP24,000 - 28,000 pro rata per annum depending on experience

Reporting to: UK Director of Programmes
