The Job Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Technical Authoring Specialist to join our Aftersales team based in Woking, Surrey. Reporting to the Senior Technical Authoring Specialist you will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for the use of both McLaren dealers and end customers, this documentation is essential for the effective servicing and repair of our high performance vehicles. With a keen eye for detail you will monitor engineering changes and be able to understand the impact to documentation, this will involve assisting in the coordinated strip and rebuild of existing and future vehicles to aid documentation creation.
This role also has the opportunity to work across a variety of business areas, you will provide support for Aftersales activities, assist theTechnical Illustration specialists in the creation of graphics, and liaise with the manufacturing, quality and engineering departments to support Aftersales deliverables.
The Candidate:
From a technical perspective it is advantageous to have an understanding of XML based desktop publishing systems, Adobe illustrator/Photoshop, Solidworks/3divia Composer, CAD (Catia V5 or Similar) and Microsoft Office.
