Shift Technician

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Shift Technician to join the team in Ardley, working 42.5 hours a week.

What will I be responsible for?

The Shift Technician will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant from within a central control room and out in the field on a 24-hour shift rotation. Duties include:

• DCS operation and alarm Handling
• Diagnose and rectify plant faults.
• Operation of the ERF and boiler chemistry
• Carry out routine tasks and testing of plant equipment. Update the shift log including plant and process changes
• Monitor consumable stock levels and supervise bulk deliveries and loading.
• Direction of people on outside plant and communication
• Assist with all shutdown activities within the plant

The ideal Shift Technician will have:

• Mechanical / Electrical / Plant experience
• Understanding of safe systems of work i.e. plant isolations and safety systems
• Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently
