An exciting yet challenging opportunity has arisen to join this (relatively) young & growing materials supply business in Bridgwater.
This business has consistently achieved its growth targets for a number of years; now looking at new premises due to their workload, they need you - an experienced General Manager to come in & take their team forward.
There is significant opportunity for reward within this company. This role will report directly into the Board of Directors.
- General business Management of the estate; Warehouse team, Office team, Sales team.
- Currently 7 Members of staff to be managed, estimated 8-10 by year end
- Agreeing, planning & delivering KPIs - Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly.
- Coaching & developing talent within the team
- Objection handling
- Dealing with a number of queries by telephone and email
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
Requirements:
- Prior Team management experience in an Industrial environment
- Passionate, coaching, ambitious approach
- Real team player, roll up your sleeves and help with heavy lifting in the warehouse mentality
- Logistics / Transport planning experience would be highly advantageous
- Confident communicator with a passion for providing outstanding customer service
- IT literate
