About the Yard/Transport Marshall Role:

As a Yard/Transport Marshall you will work in a 24hr operation covering the safe and secure movement of transport and people. The role is based in our new Hemel Hempstead depot. You will be part of a small team covering the operation 24hrs a day over 6 days a week.

The role holder will be responsible for:

• Controlling the movement of vehicles and people within the depot yard. Ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are adhered too.
• Effective communication with the warehouse management team, recording and escalating any issues
• The accurate recording of all vehicle movement and liaising with the goods in team to ensure they are fully briefed on inbound deliveries
• Ensuring all employees are compliant with access pass procedures and all visitors are dealt with in line with the policy
• Maintaining a high level of Health and Safety at all times.

About You:

You will have a track record working in a fast paced environment and the ability to communicate at all levels. You will be professional in your approach and have the ability to use your own initiative.

It's also important that you can demonstrate:-

• Experience of working in a fast paced environment
• Computer literacy and the ability to navigate Microsoft Office
• Outstanding communication skills and the credibility to effectively build relationships with visitors, team members and management
• The ability to accurately produce reports and maintain them
• The ability to deal with difficult situations, quickly and calmly and in a professional manner
• A can do attitude with the desire to learn and develop further in role

Although not essential, experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous. A forklift driving licence would also be desirable, however full training would be provided.
