The Open University has been transforming lives since 1969 by opening up higher education to all sections of the community.
As part of a major change initiative, venue procurement and management activities for tutorials, examinations and other meetings in the UK and Continental Europe are being transferred to a new team based in Cardiff.
You will have responsibility for the day-to-day operational and performance management of part of the new Venue Management Team, you will have excellent management and interpersonal skills and a very high standard of communication, numeracy, organisational and motivational skills as well as significant relevant work experience of operations management within a service environment including managing business process improvement in a changing environment, with a particular focus on financial processes.
You will have knowledge, and experience of financial processes, negotiating contracts and services with suppliers and monitoring quality and performance against service standards in addition to experience of planning and managing complex operational activities.
