Full time - 37 hrs
Starting salary of £24,915 per annum for non-qualified teachers/£27,281 for qualified teachers, rising to £28,855 with experience in the role.
We are on a journey to being Outstanding. We have new opportunities for a motivated and professional individual who is dynamic, inspirational, and innovative to join us on that journey.
We have a current vacancy within our IT curriculum area and are looking for a full time Lecturer in Computing and IT to join our team. In this role you will be lecturing on Further and Higher Education courses within our University Centre Peterborough which is our joint venture with Anglia Ruskin University.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate skills in a range of IT related areas especially in the areas of networking and systems support and/or programming and the use of graphics software. They will ideally hold professional industry and/or academic qualifications in the IT field with a Masters being highly desirable and have proven teaching/training experience or extensive industry experience. You may have teaching qualifications, but these are not essential as we will support you to achieve this in-house.
If you have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to develop and deliver imaginative and high quality teaching to a range of learners, then this will be a challenging, but extremely rewarding opportunity. You will need to be completely dedicated to education, and entirely committed to helping young people who may come to us needing both pastoral and educational support, so that they can become the carers of the future. You will be a self-starter, who can quickly build relationships, with excellent organisation and planning ability. This is a great opportunity to invest in the next generation of professionals.
The College offers many good employment benefits including generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme, and many on-site benefits and facilities.
