Peabody has exciting opportunities for a Creative Arts Project Assistant (Ah) x2 to join our team in London. The successful applicants will join us on a part time fixed term contract basis and will receive a competitive salary of £13 per hour.

As the Creative Arts Project Assistant (Ah) x2 you will lead and support with the delivery of Threads, an innovative fashion project for local residents aged 9+. This role involves engaging with young people and enabling them to develop a range of skills in fashion, textiles & other creative outlets and transferable skills which will help participants to progress socially, academically and career wise. As part of this role, you will be required to facilitate the creation of design briefs with and for the young people related to fashion and design.
Threads is a fashion project is for young women aged 9 years and upwards. Threads provides a safe and creative environment for the participants to learn and boost their fashion and design skills, as well as increase and improve their self-belief & confidence, enhance their awareness of progression opportunities and then not be afraid to step forward and take them.
Essential skills/experience required by the Creative Arts Project Assistant (Ah) x2
- A keen interest in the fashion industry.
- Highly motivated, creative and able to work as part of a team with the ability to manage own time and workload.
- Able to work Saturdays, evenings and school holidays as required.
Desirable skills/experience required by the Creative Arts Project Assistant (Ah) x2
- Evidence of coordinating and supporting services for young people.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding young people and health & safety legislation relating to youth work.
- Possess a JNC qualification or equivalent youth work certificate
The successful applicant will need to be subject to a background enhanced disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) before any appointment can be confirmed.
