Lifeguard

Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Lifeguard to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £17,745 per annum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a customer focussed, friendly, professional and hard-working outlook to join our family focussed centre in the London Borough of Southwark. This innovative and inspiring resource centre has a swimming pool, restaurant, IT training room, therapy suite and classes that promote healthy living. You will be involved in all key aspects of the operational services across all areas of the centre including fitness, sales and pool areas.

Key aspects of the Lifeguard role will include:

- Maintaining a safe pool environment through excellent lifeguarding practices

- Delivering excellent customer service

- Carrying out regular cleaning and maintenance regimes

- Preparing activity areas and equipment

The successful Lifeguard will have:

- The National Pool Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) or a recognised qualification

- First Aid qualification (desirable)

Having any lifesaving qualification is desirable but not essential. Peabody will provide free training for the right candidates. Once you start as a lifeguard, you’ll get the opportunity to develop in different areas such as swimming teaching, gym instructor courses and sports coaching.

We fully promote a healthy life/work balance by opening Monday to Friday (the ocassional Saturday until 3pm) where you will be required to cover shifts from 7.30am to 8pm. There will also be development opportunities should you be seeking progression in this role.
