Our client is an independent housing company providing more than 9,000 quality affordable homes within the Trafford area of Manchester. They are a local company with national reach extending beyond being just an excellent landlord. A “profit-for-purpose” organisation, striving for a society transformed, free from poverty, inequality and injustice.
To achieve this, they have big ambitions and one of their most exciting projects is the development of Limelight – a £24M community building situated in the heart of Old Trafford. Opening in winter 2017 Limelight will be much more than simply a community building. It will be a unique place containing 81 residential apartments, community and health facilities, library, pharmacy, hairdressers and café. There will also be space for a range of activities from wedding hire, sports and fitness classes through to community based support groups.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to be part of this highly committed and energetic team. Reporting to the Centre Manager, and working collaboratively with the Community & Business Development Manager and the wider Limelight staffing team, the key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Ensuring all visitors receive a warm, friendly welcome; signposting to the relevant service areas and/or providing guidance and information when required.
- Coordinating the reception services; driving the ‘One Building’ approach and ensuring an effective and efficient administrative service is delivered for all internal and external customers.
- Events Management; coordinate a wide range of private hire and community events, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Bookings Management; responsible for ensuring the bookings system is effectively managed and monitored, and all enquiries dealt with in a professional, customer-focused manner.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Flexibility and an innovative approach is a must, alongside the ability to empathise and identify the needs of customers and service users. Experience of working in a fast-paced, customer focused environment, with the ability to organise and co-ordinate tasks is also essential.
Practical experience of working in an events management role is desirable, however those who can demonstrate transferable skills will be considered.
Our client encourages a healthy work/life balance and they offer an attractive benefits package for employees, as well as a competitive and transparent system of pay and reward. These benefits include excellent training and development opportunities, a salary sacrifice child care voucher scheme and Cycle 2 Work scheme, access to the Social Housing Defined Contribution pension scheme, enrolment in a cash-back healthcare plan, access to all Trafford leisure centre facilities, flexi-time and annual leave allowance starting at 20 days per annum, rising to 30 days per annum with service.
Closing date for applications: Monday 10th July 2017
