Sous Chef - £23k - South Cornwall - 2 AA Rosette hotel kitchen We are looking for a talented and passionate Sous chef to join our clients busy award winning hotel kitchen. The Hotel is set directly on the waterfront of the Fowey river. This idyllic landscape is the perfect place to work with its views of slow meandering currents and natural woodland. Our client is proud to promote their hotel restaurant featuring two AA Rosettes and featuring in the Michelin Bib guide. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years within a similar role at a similar level. the candidate will be focused, driven and passionate whilst also being able to command a kitchen they should also be able to be a mentor and team player. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate longevity throughout their CV and a desire to progress professionally. This is a pivotal role within the kitchen due to the responsibility of taking the lead in the head chefs absence. The right candidate will need to be up to date with all kitchen operations from rota's, GP, ordering and P&L, to being in accordance of the highest levels of health and hygiene and ensuring this is held throughout the kitchen and by all staff, you will also be ensuring that the exceptional high standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met. You will be able to show strong leadership skills whilst also maintaining the respect of all levels within the kitchen. You will be expected to be a team player supporting and mentoring the lower level chefs and helping them develop within the kitchen. In regards to working within this hotel your own transport is a must due to its remote locality. Whilst being able to offer to the right candidate options for live in there is a need for you to be able to travel independently.
