SUPPORT SERVICE TEAM LEADER

(Maternity Leave Cover for approximately 9 months)

£23,935 - £25,694

The Housing Service is seeking a flexible person with excellent communication skills.  They will be required to manage a diverse range of functions and a number of staff.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of an effective menu of tenant involvement options for tenants and will also manage our Housing Business Support team and the work that they do.  In addition, they will manage our telecare service, which is known as Lifeline in Mid Devon.

An experience of working in customer service is essential in this role, as is an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people.  Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and an understanding of the regulatory framework for social housing is also required.  The successful candidate will have the ability to utilise marketing skills to promote the generation of additional income especially in relation to garage management and the further development of telecare.  They will also be responsible for the publication of the Council's regular newsletter for tenants and will be expected to contribute to the publication of the Annual Report to tenants.

This role would suit someone who would like to work in a challenging role in a busy and sometimes pressurised environment.  The Housing Service is committed to service improvement and so there will be opportunities to review services and to implement change.
