We are looking for someone who can combine business expertise and financial excellence to join our shared service centre. Responsibilities will include:
• Prepare and process month end close entries and schedules for all entities
• Monthly variance analysis on WIP, accrued and deferred income for all entities
• Quarterly internal audit procedures (WIP and revenue recognition)
• Monthly review and analysis of worldwide group ledger reconciliations and difference reports
• Quarterly preparation of IFRS and UK GAAP compliant balance sheets to audit standard
• Quarterly submission of group reporting in Magnitude for several entities in line with group deadlines
• Assist with preparation of financial statements for trading entities (5). Tasks include cut off testing on revenue/costs
• Prepare audit deliverables and be a key contact for external and internal auditors
• Own the process to prepare and deliver PL analysis for CT returns on a quarterly basis
• Annually, provide data to the appointed corporation tax advisors to clear queries arising from the tax return process
• Provide coaching through skills transfer to colleagues in the General Ledger team and absence cover
• Prepare process documentation for all month end close procedures
• Perform audits of financial processes as directed by the Finance Manager
• Support the Finance Manager with other financial control and compliance projects
Candidate requirements include:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ICAEW qualification)
• Previous experience of an accounts preparation role - including posting journals, preparing balance sheets and PL analysis
• Firm understanding of key reporting principles including revenue recognition, assets and liabilities valuation, goodwill and provision and taxation
• Experience of auditing corporate entities
• Experience of statutory accounts preparation under FRS 102
• Experience of preparing group reporting submissions
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines
