We are pleased to be working with a successful multidisciplinary consultancy that is currently looking to recruit a Senior Landscape Architect to join their established team in East Grinstead on a full time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be involved in a number of key projects for a variety of clients with specialisms across multiple sectors including commercial, residential, coastal and rail.

Role description
* Be comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
* Be the technical lead on the landscape deliverables on a variety of projects and be able to manage and mentor junior members of staff.
* Prepare landscape plans including sketch designs, illustrative landscape designs, detailed designs and implementation plans (including construction details and planting plans)
* Undertake site surveys and inspections.
* Undertake landscape and visual impact assessments and other written reports.
* Produce cost estimates, specifications and bills of quantity when required.
* Produce landscape maintenance and management plans.
* Communicate with clients and other professionals within a multi-disciplinary work environment.
* Communicate and undertake meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
* Have experience of working on large infrastructure projects.

In addition to the above, you would be expected to be able to demonstrate working experience in some of the following technical areas:

* Project management.
* Previous experience on river, coastal, commercial and rail projects.
* Knowledge of ecology.
* Knowledge of the UK planning system and environmental legislation.
* Experience in the preparation of bids and undertaking business development.

The successful candidate will have:

* Hold a BSc/BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture and a Diploma in Landscape Architecture or equivalent qualification recognised by the Landscape Institute.
* Be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.
* Experience using Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite and other related software packages.
* A working knowledge and ability to use SketchUp would be desirable but not essential.
