Within Ricoh, our IT Services (ITS) division has grown rapidly across the last five years, and over the last 2.5 years we have been developing solutions to transition all relevant transactional processes into our core financial and operational systems. Over the past year, the first stage of that system integration has gone live.
In conjunction, we`re excited to be building a new and strong team of finance professionals to operate from our prestige, state-of-the-art Head Office in Northampton. So this represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join this team, and to be responsible for driving forward the changes required to accurately report the ITS division`s financial performance through the transition of systems and into the future. Is this you?
Working closely with the Project Team for the transition, you will centrally manage all ITS related transactions arising from these new and remaining legacy processes within Finance, and impact the business via the accurate and robust control and reporting of this financial information. The breadth of business spans both traditional IT hardware and software sales, along with service annuity and maintenance; but also comprises projects and contracts spanning multiple elements involving inventory, deployment phases over time and the appropriate revenue and profit recognition thereof. You will have a high level of drive and motivation to fact find, and implement Financial Tracking and Reporting procedures in respect of these areas, whilst also supporting the Project Team as further phases are implemented
You will also accurately maintain the financial position of the ITS division, aiding the visibility through the timely reporting of reliable financial performance metrics of the division to stakeholders including the Finance Business Partner for ITS and the management team of the division itself.
Most likely you will be a qualified Accountant, educated to degree level or possessing suitable business related experience. Commercial Finance experience gained with the IT and Professional Services/Consultancy sectors within a similar size organisation would be ideal, but fundamentally a high motivation to `get involved and sort it out` is paramount!
Strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills are essential along with good IT literacy, commercial skills and presentation skills. A flexible attitude and the ability to negotiate with key stakeholders, including senior management and the Project team is a must.
